In 1907 (age 17) Strand
met Alfred Stieglitz. Eight years later he entered Stieglitz’s studio with a
portfolio crammed with studies of people on New York streets. He was given a one-man
show. Strand spent the next 15 years in close association with Stieglitz. Strand is known for making compositions by associating different textures
