| Some love him; some hate him; many don't
understand him. But it cannot be denied that the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso was at the front of almost every art movement
of this century. Picasso started painting at age 10 and was a success at age 15. His long career passed through many phases, including: Blue Period - focused on human misery and suffering Rose Period - many subjects taken from the circus Cubism - with Georges Braque he pioneered this movement, including the development of the collage and the use of non-traditional materials in sculpture. Picasso produced over 20,000 works.
