Check this out:

There have been hundreds (and more likely thousands) American Gothic parodies. Grant Wood's sister Nan Wood Graham (model for the woman in the painting) collected parodies which are now located in the Davenport (Iowa) Art Gallery.  A few of the parodies in my own collection include:

• a fast-food commercial
• a postcard of President and Mrs. Clinton
• a mail-order clothing catalog
• a "Garfield" comic strip from 1993
• a TIME magazine cover (August 8, 1994)
• an insurance publication
