Monfalcone

Located at the northern tip of the Adriatic, Monfalcone is the home of one of the country's main shipyards. The city's ties to the sea go back to Roman days. Remains of Roman baths are still present on the outskirts of Monfalcone.

It was in this area that Jason and the Argonauts supposedly searched for the golden fleece.
